SUCCEED is a multinational, Phase 3 trial investigating the efficacy and safety of oral deforolimus (AP23573, MK-8669) when administered as maintenance therapy to patients with metastatic soft-tissue or bone sarcomas who have had a favorable outcome to chemotherapy.

Deforolimus is an investigational agent and has not been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or regulatory agencies in any other country.

ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Merck & Co., Inc. have a global collaboration to jointly investigate deforolimus for the treatment of cancer.
